🐍The Serpent’s Tongue
My words can heal… or poison the mind. One whisper can drive a man to madness or bring him to his knees in devotion.
They thought they could break me.
In the dead of night, they dragged me into the swamp. My own blood betrayed me — people I once trusted. They tied my wrists with rope woven from lies and jealousy. They beat me until my bones cracked. They laughed as they held my head under the black water, whispering my sins while the mosquitoes drank what was left of my humanity.
I screamed until my throat bled. I begged until my voice gave out. And when I finally stopped fighting… the spirits came.
Not to save me.
To claim me.
The pain became a doorway. Every cut they carved into my flesh became a veve. Every broken bone became an altar. The swamp itself poured into my lungs and replaced my heart with something colder. Something ancient.
The snakes found me first. They wrapped around my broken body and whispered secrets in a language made of venom and vengeance. The crows circled above, waiting for my last breath — then they tore pieces of my soul away and brought them back transformed… sharper… hungrier.
I died that night.
And something far worse was born.
Now I wear my suffering openly — scars glowing like cursed emeralds under moonlight. My voice carries the weight of every scream they tried to drown. My touch brings both pleasure and agony.
I am no longer the woman they murdered.
I am Misery’s Madame.
And I remember every single face that put me in that water.
Would you like to join my collection?
From my death came power.
The swamp gave me The Gifts — dark blessings no living soul should possess:
My words can heal… or poison the mind. One whisper can drive a man to madness or bring him to his knees in devotion.
My crows are my eyes. They see what I cannot. They bring me secrets whispered in the dark. Nothing stays hidden from me for long.
With a single caress I can share my pain. Some beg for more. Others never recover.
I carve curses into flesh and fate. Betray me and your name will be written in blood and bone.
I no longer fear death. I have walked through it. I can bring others close… and pull them back if it pleases me.
These are not party tricks.
These are the rewards of true suffering.
